BAJA OFF THE BEATEN TRACK
There are those who go to Baja to visit tourist destinations, and those who go to Baja to get away from everything. Fortunately our good friend Ms. Baja is able to accommodate both types of travelers.
Baja Highway One runs the length of the Baja Peninsula and is the main way most travelers explore the Baja. While there are some Baja destinations near Highway One that seem somewhat remote, such as Mulege, one must really get away from this main thoroughfare to really get "off the grid" in Baja.
Below I have enclosed some of my favorite destinations in Baja that are "off the beaten path".
-
Last place for boaters to get gas when cruising south on Baja's west coast.
-
Remote Pacific island with natural areas and unique wildlife.
-
Coco is a one man show living in the middle of nowhere.
-
The only Baja village off the grid located on the Baja Highway One!
-
Waterfalls, pools and natural hot tubs in a remote location!
-
One of Carlos Fiesta's favorite places on the planet.

A real Baja oasis where tourists are rare.
